About the Program
The Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Project is a three-year initiative being implemented from December 2024 to November 2027 in Saptakoshi Municipality and Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality of Saptari District, Nepal. The project is jointly carried out by Sammunati Krishi and the Inclusive Disabled Association Saptari, with the generous support of the Australian Government and CBM Global.
This project aims to strengthen inclusive disaster management systems by supporting local governments in integrating disability inclusion into all aspects of disaster risk reduction (DRR). Its overarching goal is to enhance community resilience and reduce the vulnerability of at-risk groups before, during, and after disasters.
By fostering collaboration between stakeholders and building the capacity of local institutions, this project contributes to a more inclusive, resilient, and prepared society, ensuring that disaster risk reduction strategies are accessible, equitable, and effective for all.
